Pont-Aven Museum

Famous painters' village

Just a 35-minute drive from our Relais & Châteaux establishment, Pont-Aven is a charming little town well worth seeing. Although it is very natural, it is best known for its famous galettes, its painters and its museum. The last two points are closely linked, as it was thanks to the presence of these famous painters that the idea of the museum was born.

Every street corner is a painting

Created in 1985, it was renovated in 2016. It is, of course, a tribute to the artists who have walked the streets of the city to reproduce its charms on canvas. The most famous of these is certainly Paul Gauguin, to whom numerous exhibitions and retrospectives are frequently dedicated. Others include Camille Corot, Emile Bernard and Paul Sérusier.
